How I am going to obtain Short-term goals.
1.) Re-establish to elite performance equipment setups: i.e. (by August 1, 06)
- Bows
- Arrows
- Miscellaneous needs for 100% performance
Answer:
Bow: By working with my coach (Mike Allen – St. Cloud, MN; which is my home town) we have established a consistent and effective shooting style. Moreover, we have noticed that some physical changes do need to be made to the bow in order to obtain 100% performance from the bow. We have contacted the manufacture to make the changes; new parts for one (1) bow will be ordered and received by the end of June 06. At this time only one bow will be worked on to make sure everything is gold medal material.
After everything is confirmed we will order parts for the second bow and continue towards the gold.
Arrows: With the confirmation of the bows performance we will be able to obtain and secure the perfect arrow for success; however, with that being said, I will be training with arrows that will create the basis of my form. In other words’, we are not going to be spending money on arrows until we have the perfect finished product.
Miscellaneous needs: this is setting up scope mounts, chair adjustments and other little things that make the shoot easier because of the modifications.
2.) Execute a specific training regimen for a full time come back in 2007 season which includes, but not limited to: (see attached programs by August 1, 06)
- Specific weight training with personal trainer
- Archery
- Swimming
- Weights
- Hand cycling
- Functional Electric Stimulation
- Racing chair workouts
- Adventure endurance challenges
- U.S. Navy SEALs SAC (SEAL Adventure Challenge)
Answer:
Archery: My personal coach has a disciplined structure that even pros would dislike. Knowing that I have the physical strength, endurance and drive to win, his method is based on but not limited to the aiming process. Once the aiming process is down to a science, your shot comes naturally. In order to obtain this subconscious level; it will be done by different intensity workouts, at different distances, and head to head competition.

Swimming: Currently (06-20-06) I am swimming three (3) times a week; 1/4 mile per session; this might change due to scheduling conflicts as time goes on. Currently the swimming is for the cardio and for an upcoming Navy SEAL Adventure Challenge.
Weights: Weight training is being done by Scott Eidie, professor of Health & Exercise Science at the MN Business School in St. Cloud, MN. Program is attached and Professor Eidie is available for communication.

Hand cycling: Another form of cardio, three (3) times a week no less than five (5) miles per.
Functional Electric Stimulation (FES): is a system that stimulates the leg muscles and decreases the chances of the following:
- Atrophy of the legs
- Pressure soars
- Loss of circulation
Furthermore, it increases:
FES, is being done two (2) times a week for 45 minutes at a 1.5 resistance level.
Racing chair: Just like the wheelchair racers have, I use it once (1) to twice (2) a week – 10- 15 miles. Incredible for cardio, balance and muscle tone.
Navy SEALs Adventure Challenge: There is only one-way to describe this just go to www.usfrogmann.com. Select “Events” and then, click on SAC. I completed it last year and I will return every year they will let me.

I will accomplish this by staying focused on my training program; which includes shooting specifics, mental visualization, cardio, weights, and journals. It is me, to shoot my shot and only my shot. It is me, to shoot X, after X, after X at any distance until I choose to stop shooting for the day. It is me, to stay calm cool and collected on the shooting line at all times. It is me, to follow my daily affirmation program and know that I am the best shooter in the world.
